(I usually make it the Arab way, which uses a garlic, olive oil and lemon dressing instead.) Anyway, I actually did 1/2 mayo and 1/2 creme fraiche and it was really nice. Could use Greek yogurt instead of creme fraiche. Oh and although I do love raw onion, my kids don't, so I use green onions (scallions) or chives instead. I love your use of pickles - my kids would totally love that and I'll try throwing some in next time!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031618108458753258.post-72935301652814798842011-04-20T23:57:46.259-04:002011-04-20T23:57:46.259-04:00Hello Brittany! I have a bit of PTSD when it comes to mayonnaise too. Mine came from watching my older brother dunk french fries in piles of the stuff as a child. That should be illegal.<br />Lately I have been able to tolerate some, particularly if it is used with restraint and it always tastes better with mustard and pickles!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031618108458753258.post-512455620270828432011-04-19T09:10:23.567-04:002011-04-19T09:10:23.567-04:00I have to agree with your raw onion seperation. However i stand firm to your convictions that onions should ALWAYS be cooked! Recipe looks yummy, i'll have to try it once this rain lets up!Colleennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031618108458753258.post-81683833141232410282011-04-18T10:19:07.939-04:002011-04-18T10:19:07.939-04:00Happy Picnic season to you too Brittany!
